A daycare is more than just a place for kids to go while they’re parents are busy. Kids learn how to interact with others and enjoy some playtime during their time at daycare too. It’s extremely important that the kids stay safe, and sometimes that requires upkeep outside of normal maintenance.

A daycare owner in Brampton, Ontario, was dealing with sinking concrete right outside of the entrance. Water was pooling there, and whenever the temperatures dropped ice would form.

Looking for a solution to eliminate the chance of ice buildup, the customer reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling. Project Manager Paul Mendell met with the owner and assessed the situation.

Foreman Kyle McKeown used our PolyLevel® high-density polyurethane to lift the concrete slabs back to their original pour height. PolyLevel® is injected as a liquid and then expands beneath the concrete, lifting the slab while stabilizing the soils beneath.

The daycare owner is thrilled that his establishment is safe once again. The kids can use the walkway without any hazards, and the concrete is protected from further settlement.

Keeping an establishment operating smoothly is the goal of any owner. Whether it’s a recreation centre or a library, it’s crucial to maintain a safe business.

A customer in Brampton, Ontario, operates a daycare service. The kid’s playground is separate from the building, and over the years, the walkway had settled. This created a tripping hazard right where the kids walk every day, so the situation needed to be remedied.

The daycare owner reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling and met with Project Manager Paul Mendell. Paul showed the customer our solutions, and he was happy to hear we had a minimally invasive method that the kids could be walking on in a matter of hours.

Foreman Kyle McKeown drilled dime-sized holes throughout the concrete to start the repair. He used these holes to inject our high-density polyurethane, PolyLevel®, which lifts the concrete slab while compressing any soils below.

The customer is thrilled that the concrete is repaired. The work comes with a warranty for peace of mind, and the kids can safely use the walkway.

Sometimes, we repair things solely for aesthetic reasons. The way something looks is important to us, so we pay the extra money to preserve its experience.

In Toronto, Ontario, a building manager has a decorative concrete sidewalk that sits between two traditional walkways. The concrete has historical importance to the building, so the customer needed a non-invasive company to repair the section.

After discovering Canadian Concrete Leveling, he met with Project Manager Joe McColl. Joe showed him how our PolyLevel® System could lift the decorative slabs without compromising the historical integrity. The client was blown away by how our system worked and was looking forward to seeing it in action for himself.

Foreman Kyle McKeown and Installation Specialist Mark Sealy started the repair by drilling dime-sized holes in the concrete's base portion, avoiding the historical sections. The crew injected PolyLevel® through these holes, lifting the concrete slab and compressing fill materials below. Once the repair was done, Kyle and Mark patched the injection ports with fresh concrete.

The building manager and his tenants appreciate the hard work and special care from the Canadian Concrete Leveling team. The concrete is stabilized with no tripping hazards, and the historical concrete looks better than ever.

Job Stories From Toronto, ON
Warehouse Lifted and Leveled using PolyLevel® in Toronto, ON

Contracting Company in Toronto, ON, needed to have their sinking concrete flooring lifted and leveled in their warehouse.

Due to the heavy equipment brought in and out of the warehouse, it caused the foundation underneath the concrete floors to sink. They knew that the problem would only get worse and worse and eventually, the floor would sink to the point where it would be nearly impossible to move their equipment out of the warehouse.

Luckily for them, they knew who to contact. The owners called Canadian Concrete Leveling for their free estimate where shortly after, Project Manager, Paul Mendell went to the site to assess the damage. He concluded that a PolyLevel® Injection would lift and level the concrete back to its original height.

Once there was a plan set, Installation Foreman, Bill McKeown and his crew got to work. They injected the Polyurethane into the floor and lifted and leveled the concrete back to its initial stature.

Now, the owners are contented that they can safely and efficiently utilize their warehouse once again.

Sinking Floor Causing Hazard and Separating Bricks, Toronto, ON

A home in Toronto, Ontario, had a problem with the basement floor. The Back half of floor had sunk down 2 inches. There was a large gap between floor and baseboards. The Stone wall next to fireplace was separating in the middle of the wall as well. The biggest concern was that the elderly woman living in the home might trip when going out of the back door. Another concern, was that the stone facing would separate and fall off.

The customer called Canadian Concrete Leveling and spoke to Paul Mendell who explained the process of our solution. Bill McKeown  and Kyle McKeown came in and used our PolyLevel foam system.  The PolyLevel was injected under the floor, to lift it back to it’s original height and permanently stabilize it. Dime sized holes were drilled in specific areas and the high-density polymer was injected under the floor slab. The customer now has a peace of mind that the home is safe, without trip hazards and the stone wall facing was safely stabilized.

Large Step Caused Trip Hazard, Toronto, ON

A home in Toronto, Ontario, had a concrete slab in the front of the house that had sunken. This was causing a trip hazard to the homeowner because the last step was too high and they had mobility issues. There was a fear from the family that someone would tripp and fall.

The customer called Clarke Basement System and Ron Monk explained what would be done. Bill Mckeown and the Canadian Concrete Leveling  Team came in and injected PolyLevel foam beneath the concrete slab to lift and stabilize it. The walkway is now lifted to the original pour line allowing for the step to be smaller. The customer was satisfied because it made the walkway safer and eliminated trip hazards.

Branksome Hall School Walkway Leveling, Toronto, ON

Branksome Hall, a school in Toronto, Ontario had uneven pavement on the walkway of the school. There were some slabs that were uneven and not leveled with each other. There were also some slabs slanted towards a hill and that was causing students to slip off the pathway and down the hill during the winter. This was becoming a serious safety issue. The owner of the school called Canadian Concrete Leveling to come fix these hazards before the school year started up again.

Our Canadian Concrete Leveling team came in and drilled dime sized holes in the affected areas. They then pumped PolyLevel injection foam into the holes to fill the space under the concrete to lift and stabilize the slabs. They then needed to make sure the slab was slanted away from the hill, they used a jack to hold up the slab on one side so they could continue to use the PolyLevel Foam to fill the void. The Canadian Concrete Leveling team completed the job before school started so that the owner did not have to worry about trip hazards and unsafe walkways for the students.

Cracked Concrete Created a Trip Hazard, Toronto, ON

A home in Toronto, Ontario had a sinking slab on the front walkway. The walkway had cracked across the middle and one half of the slab was sinking towards the crack creating a trip hazard and causing water to pool on the walkway after heavy rain. During the winter the pooling water in this area would freeze and cause a slip hazard as well. The customer wanted this to be fixed so that there would be no more safety hazard.

The customer called Canadian Concrete Leveling to fix the problem. John DiNicolantonio explained to the customer that it would be a quick fix and comes with complete warranty. Billy McKeown and the team used PolyLevel Foam System to level the walkway, eliminating the trip hazard. The foam travels through the voids underneath the concrete and expands, allowing for us to lift the slab and stabilize the substrate to prevent further settlement. They covered the crack with NexusPro Joint Sealant to prevent water from making its way between the slabs again. The customer is left with a safe and usable walkway. They were very pleased that they could have the walkway fixed at a fraction of the cost of concrete replacement.
