Walkway Revival: Safety and Stability for a Stouffville Church
Challenge
The main concrete walkway leading to a church in Stouffville, Ontario had settled significantly over time, creating wide gaps and dangerous trip hazards. This posed a serious safety risk and accessibility issue for the congregation. Replacing the walkway was not a feasible option due to the high costs and extensive disruption it would cause. Our challenge was to restore the walkway’s functionality, eliminate hazards, and stabilize the sinking slabs without resorting to a full demolition and re-pour.
Solution
We implemented our proprietary concrete leveling process to deliver a lasting repair. First, small, strategic injection points were drilled into the affected slabs—careful preparation ensured precision and minimal disruption. Next, we injected our specialized high-density polymer beneath the concrete. This material expanded to lift the slabs back to their original, level height while filling voids and stabilizing the soil underneath to prevent future settling. Finally, we applied a premium crack and joint sealant to waterproof the walkway, protecting it from water damage and erosion.
The church walkway was fully restored—lifted, leveled, and stabilized—eliminating trip hazards and significantly improving accessibility for everyone. By choosing our solution, the church avoided the high cost and disruption of full replacement, instead receiving a durable, waterproofed repair that will protect their concrete investment for years to come.
