Thornbury Triple-Threat
Challenge
For this Thornbury homeowner, their outdoor space was a point of pride—a winding, custom-stamped concrete path connecting their front entrance to a sprawling backyard patio. But the shifting ground beneath the surface was starting to tell a different story.
At the front, the slabs had settled significantly, creating jagged “toe-catchers” that posed a real hazard for guests. As the path wound toward the backyard, the problem worsened: concrete near the home’s structural posts was tilting heavily. This wasn’t just an eyesore anymore—water was now pooling toward the house, threatening the foundation. The owners feared that fixing the issue would require a complete “rip and replace,” which could destroy their carefully maintained rock gardens and hostas.
Solution
When the homeowners called Canadian Concrete Leveling, we knew we could save their investment. Instead of bringing in heavy machinery for a full tear-out, we took a more surgical approach. Walking the property with the owners, we identified the exact spots where the soil had failed.
Using our specialized polyurethane injection system, we went to work. Through tiny, penny-sized holes, we injected high-density leveling material deep underground, filling the voids and slowly lifting the massive stamped slabs back into place. Soon, the slabs sat perfectly flush with the natural stone borders once again.
By the end of the afternoon, the trip hazards were gone, and the backyard drainage was fully restored. We returned the homeowners’ safety, curb appeal, and peace of mind—without moving a single plant or disturbing a single stone. They were thrilled to have a level, beautiful yard again, all without the chaos of a traditional construction project.
