Lifting a Sinking Patio in Whitby, ON

A home in Whitby, Ontario had sinking concrete in their backyard. The patio around the pool had sunk a couple of inches, and the step above the slab was becoming a trip hazard. This sinking was also a concern because water was draining too close to the house. The customer was worried that water would intrude into the basement and further settling.

The customer took precautions and called Canadian Concrete Leveling, and Billy McKeown and the crew came in and used PolyLevel® Injections on the sinking patio by the house. The PolyLevel® Injection went deep beneath the concrete slab and filled in the voids that were allowing the concrete to sink. Now the customer has a leveled patio and no longer has to worry about water damage to the home.

Sinking Garage Floor Creates Water Leaking Concerns, Whitby, ON

A home in Whitby, Ontario had sinking concrete in their garage. The concrete slab was sinking drastically, and the step to the entrance above the slab was becoming a trip hazard. The customer was worried that in the winter months, water would pool against the home and leak into the basement. The customer took action and called Canadian Concrete Leveling.

Once the installation crew arrived on site, they used our PolyLevel® System to inject polyurethane deep beneath the concrete slab filling in the voids that were allowing the concrete to sink. The customer finally has a level garage floor eliminating safety hazards – the customer no longer had to worry about possible water damage to their home.

Lifted Slab Caused Indoor Water Damage, Thornhill, ON

A home in Thornhill, Ontario, had a problem in the basement along the front wall. There was a small amount of water coming into the home. This happened after a heavy rain because the concrete slabs at the entrance way had settled toward the home. Water flowed toward the home and made its way into the basement. The slabs were also a trip hazard. The house was being used for a business and was going to be sold. They wanted to fix the issues before selling it.

The homeowner called Canadian Concrete Leveling to fix the issues. Ron Monk inspected the area and explained how the job would be done. Billy McKeown and his team came in and used PolyLevel polyurethane injections to divert water away from the foundation and eliminate trip hazards. They used NexusPro to seal any joints where water could penetrate. The customer was satisfied because the house was ready to sell without issue.

Sinking Concrete Basement Floor, Markham ON

Canadian Concrete Leveling has incredible success fixing slab-on-grade floors for homeowners. A side-split house in Markham, ON, for example, had a basement floor that had sunk over 2 inches in many areas causing a tripping hazard for the family. This issue also caused delays with selling the house. Many potential buyers were not willing to make an offer based on the condition of the floor.

Paul Mendell, one of our Project Leads, met with the homeowner to explain how our PolyLevel® Injection System could level and stabilize the floor. The homeowner was excited at the thought of finding a workable solution finally. Our Foreman, Billy McKeown, and installation team lifted the floor by injecting our high-density polyurethane formula through dime-sized holes in the concrete with minimal disruption to the rest of the concrete.

The homeowner was extremely surprised at how cost-effective the repair was and fixed in a matter of a few hours. Since the floor was level again, even the basement doors could close properly. With the floor issues eliminated, the homeowner could go ahead with their plans to continue showing the house to prospective buyers.
