Canadian Concrete Leveling Before & After Photos

A homeowner in Toronto began noticing a growing problem near their basement walkout, where the concrete floor had sunk roughly two inches over time. What started as a small change turned into a larger concern, with a visible gap forming between the floor and baseboards and the brick wall beside the fireplace beginning to separate. Beyond the structural warning signs, the uneven concrete created a serious trip hazard—especially worrisome for an elderly family member using the space regularly. Looking for a reliable and long-lasting solution, they reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling for professional concrete leveling and basement floor repair. Using the advanced PolyLevel® polyurethane foam injection system, the team was able to carefully lift the sunken concrete slab back to its original height while stabilizing the underlying soil and filling any voids below. This modern concrete lifting method is fast, minimally invasive, and far more efficient than traditional mudjacking or full concrete replacement. Once the repair was complete, the basement floor was fully leveled, the gap along the baseboards was eliminated, and the movement affecting the brick wall was addressed. Most importantly, the trip hazard was removed, restoring safe access to the basement door. A home in Toronto, Ontario had a sinking slab on the front walkway. The walkway had cracked across the middle, and one half of the slab was sinking towards the crack creating a trip hazard and causing water to pool on the walkway after heavy rain. The customer called Canadian Concrete Leveling to fix the problem. Our Project Manager explained to the customer that it would be a quick fix and comes with a complete warranty. The installation team used our PolyLevel® Injection System to level the walkway, eliminating the trip hazard. PolyLevel® travels through the voids underneath the concrete and expands, allowing for us to lift the slab and stabilize the substrate to prevent further settlement. They covered the crack with NexusPro® Sealant to prevent water from making its way between the slabs again. The customer now has a safe and usable walkway. They were delighted that they could have the walkway fixed at a fraction of the cost of concrete replacement.

In Toronto, Ontario, a home had a sinking driveway on one side, which, unfortunately, led to water pooling and flooding into the homeowner's porch, about to compromise their foundation's integrity, and creating a sheet of ice in the winter months. Most homes have some sort of walkway that surrounds the house. It could be flagstone, gravel, or a more unique material, but traditionally they’re made from concrete slabs.

Foreman Bill McKeown started the repair by drilling dime-sized holes in the concrete surface. Through these ports he injected our high-density polyurethane system, PolyLevel®. The polymers mix when injected, expanding beneath the slab. As the concrete expands it lifts the concrete and fills any gaps below. Once Bill completed the lift, he patched the holes with fresh concrete.

The customer is delighted that he found an alternative solution to the costly options he first saw. He enjoyed watching Bill work and appreciates the honesty from Joe McColl.
