Canadian Concrete Leveling Job Stories

The Grand Entrance
A home’s entrance should be welcoming, but these sinking steps were quickly becoming a serious liability. Years of shifting soil had left the main landing uneven and disconnected, creating a jarring gap that broke the natural flow of the entryway. Every step felt uncertain, and what should have been a smooth, inviting approach to the house had become a source of stress and concern for the homeowners.   Rather than opting for a costly and disruptive replacement, the homeowners called Canadian Concrete Leveling. Our team brought in a specialized injection process to lift and stabilize the heavy slabs from beneath. By carefully targeting the areas where the soil had settled, we were able to restore the steps with precision — no jackhammers, no demolition, and minimal disruption to the property.   In just a single afternoon, the walkway was returned to its original position. The trip hazards were eliminated, the gaps were gone, and the entryway’s clean, inviting lines were fully restored. It’s a permanent, surgical fix that not only solved a safety concern but also preserved the home’s curb appeal.     For the homeowners, it was more than just concrete — it was peace of mind. A simple, precise solution saved them time, money, and a whole lot of stress, letting them enjoy a safe, welcoming entrance once again.
Garage Floor Sinks 3 Inches in King City, ON
A new home in King City, ON, had its garage poured 1 year ago. In just over a year, the customer’s garage sunk over 3 inches! The issue with the concrete in the garage stemmed from poor compaction when the garage floor was originally poured. Since the soils around the house were still fairly loose when the floor was poured, the weight of the concrete compressed these soils leading to settlement in various areas.  The customer called Canadian Concrete Leveling and spoke with our Call Centre. They were extremely concerned that the concrete would sink even further reaching the point where the concrete would need to be re-poured. They made an appointment with project lead, John DiNicolantonio to take a look. John measured the garage and the areas that had sunk and devised a plan to fix the problem permanently. Foreman, Billy McKeown went out and strategically drilled small dime-sized holes into the customer’s concrete. He then injected our patented PolyLevel™ injection underneath to lift and level the concrete. The polyurethane compresses the substrate and then lifts the concrete. This system ensures that the area is protected from further settlement. The customer was happy that Canadian Concrete Leveling was able to fix the issue without having to rip up and re-pour a new floor. They were extremely satisfied with the outcome and were also happy that the area is now warrantied for the next 10 years.
Innisfil's Sinking Garage-Fixed in Hours, Not Weeks!
The parking garage in Innisfil, Ontario, had seen better days. At first, it was just a subtle dip here and there—a concrete slab that felt a little off underfoot. But over time, those small shifts turned into something more serious. Voids had formed beneath the surface, and sections of the floor began to sink. Cars tilted slightly as they parked, and anyone walking across it had to watch their step. What had once been a simple, functional garage had become a hazard, a place where danger lurked just beneath the surface.   When our team arrived, we could see the problem immediately. The challenge was clear: how do you restore stability without tearing everything apart? The thought of a full concrete replacement—weeks of disruption, noise, and expense—wasn’t an option. That’s when we turned to our secret weapon: Canadian Concrete Leveling’s polyurethane injection system.   With careful precision, we drilled small holes in the slabs, each one strategically placed to tackle the voids beneath. Then, like magic, we injected the high-density polyurethane. Slowly, it expanded, filling the empty spaces and gently lifting the concrete back to its original position. It was incredible to watch—the floor, once unstable and sunken, began to rise, solidify, and even out.     By the end of the day, the garage had been transformed. What had been a liability was now safe, level, and reliable again. No mess, no weeks of downtime—just a smart solution, executed with precision. For the Innisfil parking garage, it wasn’t just a repair; it was a story of transformation.
Restoring Safety and Functionality to a Busy Commercial Property in Innisfil
At a bustling commercial property in Innisfil, the team was facing a growing challenge: sinking concrete slabs. Areas with heavy vehicle and foot traffic had become uneven, creating disruptions to daily operations and raising safety concerns for staff and visitors alike. What started as a minor inconvenience was quickly turning into a significant problem that needed expert attention.     That’s when Canadian Concrete Leveling stepped in. After a careful assessment, we recommended our high-density polyurethane lifting system—a precise, efficient solution designed to restore concrete to its proper level without major disruption. By injecting the material beneath the affected slabs, we were able to lift and stabilize them with pinpoint accuracy, ensuring the property remained safe and operational throughout the process.   The results were immediate and lasting. The once uneven surfaces were now smooth, stable, and ready to handle constant traffic. Staff and visitors could move through the property safely, and daily operations continued without interruption. Beyond fixing the immediate issue, our solution provided a durable, long-term answer, giving the property owners peace of mind and confidence that their facility would remain functional and secure for years to come.   With this project, the property not only regained its balance but also its ability to operate safely and efficiently—a clear example of how the right solution can make a real difference.
Backyard Steps Restored to Safety in Concord, ON
In Concord, ON, a family began noticing that their backyard concrete steps were sinking and uneven. The cracks and dips weren’t just unsightly—they were a safety hazard, especially when carrying groceries or walking to the patio after dark. Replacing the steps entirely sounded messy, expensive, and time-consuming, so they reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling to see if there was a better way. After a careful inspection, we confirmed the steps were still structurally sound and could be corrected without a full replacement. Using our PolyLevel® polyurethane system, we injected the expanding material beneath the steps, gently lifting them back into place and stabilizing the soil below. The process was quick, precise, and caused minimal disruption to the lawn and garden.   By the end of the project, the steps were level, solid underfoot, and completely safe. The family could finally walk to the patio without worrying about trips or falls, and they were relieved to have solved the problem quickly, without the stress of a full concrete replacement. Their backyard was restored to both safety and beauty, giving them peace of mind and one less thing to worry about.
Double Stair Sinking, Maple Ontario
Maple, Ontario, had two impressive concrete staircases, but both had similar issues regarding the top step. The top steps remained in their place but seemed to have been much larger compared to the rest. How can that be? The steps below it have settled, leaving the top piece up significantly. The concrete was in excellent condition and needed some lifting love to be looking great again.  Thankfully, the homeowners found Canadian Concrete Leveling at the top of their search results and knew we could provide the work they needed. Once the initial call to our call centre was made, we took action and sent one of our Project Managers, Joe McColl, to the home to provide the owners with a free detailed estimate. After a thorough inspection, Joe realized that small injections of our polyurethane would have to be done to the lowers steps, then progressing upwards. By doing this, the voids at the bottom will be filled to withstand the weight of the entire staircase. Once the inspection was complete, it was time for our installation supervisor to come in; Kyle McKeown. On a later day, Kyle arrived at the home and knew what he needed to do. He started by drilling tiny holes in the staircases and inserted pegs to attach our PolyLevel® system. Once the polyurethane machine is attached to the nozzle, it was time to feed the poly through and into the voids beneath the steps. With the quick expansion of the material, the steps lifted rapidly before the homeowner’s eyes. Once the leveling was done on both staircases, the sealant needed to be applied. Our NexusPro™ is a high-grade sealant that is waterproof, anti-cracking, and chemical resistant so that it can be protected against all elements. The adhesive was applied to the joints in the stairs so that the settlement won’t return. The process took under half an hour which baffled the owners, thinking that they would need to move their patio furniture, plants, and rugs out of the way all day. However, the curing process was almost immediate, and the cleanup was immaculate. Steps are back to normal!
Doing it Right on the Right Side of Town
Shifting and heaving concrete slabs are most commonly doing so because of some pressure pushing from underneath. Although not entirely very well known, frost heave is a common issue for any building in the Northern Hemisphere. Brutal, cold winter nights are to blame. Over time, small cracks at the joints and seams will slowly fail, allowing for moisture to seep down into the ground underneath. Due to the very nature of water and ice, when these moisture pockets freeze, thaw and repeat, it moves the earth around it. This earth has nowhere to go but up, pushing on the concrete from underneath. And since the concrete has nowhere to go either, it cracks, shifts and heaves, creating an off-level, hazardous unusable walkway. Unassuming guests and neighbours could now be the next potential victim of a fall.

We know how dangerous it is to have a trip hazard around your home. We wanted to make our clients feel safe again! Our client had a sloping walkway and sunken stairs, and they wanted it fixed. They decided to call Canadian Concrete Leveling to solve the problem. Our Project Manager, Joe McColl, came up with the best solution for our clients that would repair the issues they had been having! Unsafe Patio Slab Fixed, Maple, ON
A home in Maple, Ontario, had a problem located at the front entrance of the home. The front patio and walkway had been sinking over the past few years leaving the area had various gaps and trip hazards in the concrete. When the concrete patio was poured the substrate was not properly compacted/compressed. Over time the weight of the concrete has further compressed the loose substrate leading to the sinking and cracking in the patio. The customer was concerned that the area would continue to settle and would make the area very unsafe to use. The customer was also worried that the slabs would begin to push apart making the problem harder to solve. The customer called Canadian Concrete Leveling and spoke to John DiNicolantonio who explained everything about the job. Billy McKeown and the team came in and used our PolyLevel Injection System and NexusPro Joint Sealant. Our PolyLevel Injection System is injected beneath the concrete to lift and level the slabs. Our expanding polyurethane compresses the substrate and then lifts the concrete, thus ensuring that the area is protected from further settlement. The NexusPro is installed post-lift to ensure that the area is further protected from water saturation. The customer was very satisfied that we were able to remove all of the trip hazards in the walkway. They were also very pleased that we sealed the gap that was forming between the patio and walkway as it was quite the eyesore.
Sinking Slabs Cause Pooling Water, Aurora, ON
A home in Aurora, Ontario, had sinking concrete located at the back patio and side walkway. They had sunk about 2.5” and both areas were sloping towards the foundation. After heavy rains, water would flow towards the foundation and would pool in both sunken areas. The customer was concerned that if water kept flowing towards the foundation it would eventually make its way into the basement which would cause an even bigger problem. The customer called Clarke Basement Systems and spoke with John DiNicolantonio, the Project Lead, to get all the information about the project and all questions answered.  Billy McKeown and the Canadian Concrete Leveling team came in and used the PolyLevel polyurethane System and NexusPro Joint Sealant. They were able to use the PolyLevel polyurethane System to lift and level both the back patio and side walkway. The NexusPro Joint sealant was applied between the slabs and the home to further protect the foundation from water penetration. They drilled small dime sized holes through the concrete and injected our PolyLevel polyurethane underneath the slabs. The polyurethane followed the path of least resistance underneath the concrete to fill all of the voids and then expanded. We were able to use the expansion of the polyurethane to lift the patio and walkway to protect them from further settlement. The customer is satisfied that water is no longer flowing towards his home and that we have given them a much more usable outdoor space.
