Lifting a Garage Pad in Barrie Back to Perfection-No Demolition Required
In Barrie, winters are harsh, and the freeze-thaw cycle can be brutal on concrete—especially for a garage pad. That’s exactly what happened at this home. Over the years, the soil beneath the pad shifted and washed away, leaving the floor uneven and pulling away from the foundation walls. Every spring thaw threatened to make it worse. When the homeowner noticed the growing gap along the base of the blocks, they knew it was only a matter of time before it became a real problem.   Rather than facing the hassle and expense of tearing out the entire slab, they called us in to find a smarter solution.   With our PolyLevel® injection system, we got to work. Tiny, precise holes were all it took to pump high-density polyurethane underneath the pad. As the material filled the voids, it lifted the slab back to level and created a stable, waterproof foundation that would resist erosion long-term. What used to be a wobbly, unsafe surface was transformed in just a few hours—no heavy demolition, no week-long construction project, and no headaches for the homeowner.     By the end of the day, the garage pad was back in service, perfectly level, and ready to withstand many more Ontario winters. It’s a small fix with a big impact—and a reminder that sometimes the best solution isn’t tearing everything out, but lifting things up.
Staying Cool, In The Pool
Canada, also known as the Great White North, is internationally renowned for some of the world's harshest and coldest climates. Little known but to its inhabitants is that Canada has incredibly balmy, hot summers as well. The yearly inclusion of extreme heat comes with it, the constant need to be cool and comfortable. Pools are a fantastic and fun way to do that. Turning your ordinary backyard into a resort-like oasis, inground pools are a common dream for any homeowner the world over, especially if you live in a hot climate. Dogs, kids, elderly folk, and everyone in between can enjoy and see the inherent value a pool holds. It is a source of not just relief but joy, laughter, and love. It quickly and effortlessly becomes the centerpiece of all your summer memories, parties, and family gatherings. The last thing you want to see your pool doing is cracking. Poorly compacted soil is most used to backfill inground pools during their construction. Over time, this loose soil will not hold up the structure of the pool and the concrete around it. Moisture pockets existing in this loose soil surrounding a pool will freeze and move over time, making improperly backfilled concrete slabs the most common culprit of the damage. This type of structural damage is common in Canada because of our winters and is called frost heave. Cracking in the concrete surrounding your pool can also be a sign of significant damage to the pool itself, which begins to leak large amounts of water into the surrounding soil, thus making it more vulnerable to further damage. Ignoring cracks in any concrete is never recommended, and if not dealt with accordingly, they can and will cause additional headaches, embarrassment, and hefty repair bills. Let Canadian Concrete Leveling and its team of qualified concrete experts and installers give you not just peace of mind but a backyard you can take pride in.

Sinking Patio Slab with a Fast Fix, Woodbridge, ON
A home in Woodbridge, Ontario, had a problem located at the back of the home on the patio. The concrete patio at the back of the house was sinking towards the foundation. When the concrete patio was poured, the substrate was not properly compacted/compressed. Over time the weight of the concrete has further compressed the loose substrate, leading to the sinking and cracking in the patio. The customer had just purchased the home 6 months prior to our appointment. He was concerned that the water pooling at the foundation may lead to a problem in the basement. John DiNicolantonio, the Project Lead, explained everything that would be done to fix the sinking concrete. Billy McKeown and the Canadian Concrete Leveling team came in and used our PolyLevel Injection System. Our PolyLevel Injection System is injected beneath the concrete to lift and level the slabs. Our expanding polyurethane compresses the substrate and then lifts the concrete, thus ensuring that the area is protected from further settlement. We drilled small dime sized holes through the concrete and injected our PolyLevel Injection underneath the slabs. The polyurethane material followed the path of least resistance underneath the concrete to fill all of the voids and then expanded. We were able to use the expansion of the polyurethane to lift the patio back to level and help protect the area from further settlement. The customer is satisfied as the water no longer pools along the back of the house and they have been left with a level and usable patio.
Etobicoke, Ontario Patio & Window Well Repair - Concrete Lifting Solution
The concrete patio at this Etobicoke, Ontario home had begun to settle and shift, creating an uneven surface that was also starting to dip toward the window wells. This type of movement can quickly become a concern, as it allows water to collect near basement windows and increases the risk of moisture issues over time. After assessing the area, our team used a high-density polyurethane lifting process to stabilize and raise the settled slabs. This allowed us to correct the slope of the patio and restore proper drainage away from the home. Once the concrete was brought back into position, the area was secured to help prevent future movement and protect against further settlement. The improved grading now directs water away from the foundation and window wells, reducing the risk of pooling and long-term damage. The result is a level, stable patio that not only looks better but also functions properly again—ready for everyday use and safe summer enjoyment.
Concrete Walkway Leveling in Etobicoke, Ontario - Restoring Safe Alignment & Drainage
This aggregate walkway in Etobicoke, Ontario had settled over time, creating uneven slabs and allowing water to pool along the side of the home. As the surface continued to shift, it also created trip hazards and poor drainage conditions near the foundation. Our team was brought in to correct the settlement and restore proper alignment. Using a high-density polyurethane injection process, we stabilized the soil beneath the walkway and carefully lifted the sunken slabs back into position. As the material expanded, it filled the voids under the concrete, re-establishing a stable base and restoring the correct slope to direct water away from the home. This eliminated both the uneven sections and the drainage concern. Within hours, the walkway was level, stable, and safe for everyday use again—fully restored without the need for removal or replacement.
Walkway Trip Hazard and Eyesore, Etobicoke, ON
A home in Etobicoke, Ontario, had a problem located at the front of the home along the walkway leading to the front door. The front walkway had sunk over time and was severely sloping towards the home. The customers were thinking of selling the home and the walkway is both a safety hazard and an eyesore. When is rains hard,  the water runs towards the foundation, leaving the customer susceptible to a basement leak. In 2013, the customer incurred major damages in their basement due to the heavy summer rains so they are very aware that the sloping concrete can lead to further, more serious problems. The customer called Canadian Concrete Leveling, and spoke to John DiNicolantonio. He explained everything that would be done and then Billy McKeown came in and fixed the problem. He used our PolyLevel Injection System. It was injected beneath the concrete to lift and level the slabs. Our expanding polyurethane is compress the substrate and lift the concrete to ensure the area is protected from further settlement. We drilled small dime sized holes through the concrete and injected our PolyLevel Injection underneath the slabs. The polyurethane followed the path of least resistance underneath the concrete to fill all of the voids and then expanded. We were able to use the expansion of the polyurethane to lift the patio and walkway to protect them from further settlement. The customer was extremely happy that we could complete the job in such a short time frame and that we could do so in such a cost effective manner. They were concerned that they would have to replace the the walkway and were very happy that we were able to work with what they already had to fix the problem.
Leveling the Path to Safety in Etobicoke, Ontario
An uneven entrance is more than just an eyesore—it can quickly become a serious trip hazard. At this Etobicoke, Ontario property, several sinking concrete slabs had created an unsafe and uneven walkway along the main entry path. After assessing the issue, our team identified that soil movement beneath the concrete had caused the slabs to drop over time. To correct it, we used a precision concrete lifting process to gently raise and stabilize the affected sections back to a level position. Once the slabs were brought back into place, we sealed the joints to help protect the repair long-term. This helps prevent water from getting underneath the concrete and washing out the supporting soil, which is often what leads to future sinking. The result is a safer, level walkway and a cleaner, more stable entrance that the homeowners can feel confident using again.
