Canadian Concrete Leveling Job Stories

This home in Windsor, Ontario, had some troublesome basement steps. The homeowners reported that the back patio slabs had fallen against the foundation causing water to leak into the basement and turning the stairs into a tripping hazard. On numerous occasions the owner and family members had tripped, even fell, on the steps. With the amount of entertaining they do, this problem needed to be fixed as soon as possible.    With the help of our Project Manager, Andy Moncrieff suggest that PolyLevel® injections would lift the staircase to their original, level position, and stop water going into the foundation. Installation Specialists Billy and Aidan McKeown did the installation on a later day. With the process taking under fifteen minutes and the curing process to take just under an hour, this staircase was looking great again. The tripping hazards were non-existent, and the basement was dry as dry can be.   

Basement floors are unfortunately prone to shifting over time and becoming off level. Frost Heave is a common culprit that causes this. Frost Heave is where moisture makes its way into the soil around a foundation. Those moisture pockets freeze and move when subzero temperatures occur, causing large cracks and potentially shifting concrete in your basement. Not only is an off-level basement floor embarrassing, but it is also unsafe for anyone walking on it. Canadian Concrete Leveling has a unique system that is commonly used for this issue, and it is called PolyLevel®. After Andy, the Project Manager developed a game plan; the installation team began the simple process of applying the PolyLevel® technology. After dime-sized holes are drilled into the concrete, the polyurethane material is pressurized and sprayed through the concrete, following the path of least resistance. The result is a perfectly level basement floor. Free of embarrassment, tripping hazards and prepped to be renovated into a dream basement.

Over the years, this garage floor had seen better days. Cracks appeared, some areas sank, and walking across it had become a bit of an obstacle course. The owners were worried—not just about how it looked, but about safety and the long-term health of the concrete.   They didn’t want the hassle or cost of tearing out the whole slab, so they called Canadian Concrete Leveling. Using our specialized PolyLevel® polyurethane injection process, we lifted and leveled the sunken sections from underneath—no demolition, no mess.     In just a short time, the floor was smooth, safe, and fully restored. A community centre in London, Ontario had a hazardous walkway that disrupted the daily foot traffic from the workers and community. The slabs had shifted to different heights and angles which made it challenging to walk from one end to the other. The community centre noticed that the walkway slabs are in good condition and don't need replacing, rather they need to be levelled. On a later day, our installation team came in to complete the work. The beautiful thing about our job sites is that the process is non-invasive, and the clean-up makes the concrete look brand new.  The community centre was amazed by the work completed and how the slabs look brand new and the fact that they do not have to worry anymore about tripping when coming and going. 

In London, Ontario, one homeowner was facing a frustrating problem: their main entrance walkway had settled unevenly, creating a real trip hazard. Every step onto the path was a worry, and replacing the concrete entirely would have been expensive, messy, and disruptive.   Looking for a smarter solution, they reached out to our team. After assessing the walkway and providing a clear, honest quote, we got to work. Using our high-density polyurethane injection system, we carefully filled the voids beneath the slabs, lifting the walkway back to a safe, level height.   But we didn’t stop there. To ensure the walkway remained stable for years to come, we applied our premium crack and joint sealant—a watertight barrier that prevents erosion and protects the concrete from future settling.     In just a few hours, the entrance was transformed: smooth, stable, and ready for use. What started as a smooth, level driveway in Walkerton, Ontario began to show signs of settlement. Over time, uneven joints developed between the plain and stamped concrete sections, creating trip hazards and concerns about the surface continuing to shift. After inspecting the driveway, our team found that the issue was caused by voids forming in the soil underneath the concrete. Instead of removing and replacing the driveway, we used a precision lifting method to restore the existing slabs. Small injection points were drilled through the surface, and high-density polyurethane was injected underneath. As it expanded, it filled the voids, stabilized the base, and gently lifted the concrete back into position. When the work was finished, the driveway was level, stable, and safe again. The uneven sections were gone, and the homeowners were happy to avoid the cost and disruption of a full replacement.

A sinking set of front steps in Walkerton had become more than just an eyesore—it was a real safety concern. Over time, shifting soil beneath the concrete caused the landing to settle and drop, creating an uneven transition and a clear trip hazard at the home’s main entrance. Instead of removing and replacing the concrete, we used a specialized concrete leveling process to restore the slabs from beneath. By injecting material into the voids under the surface, we were able to stabilize the base and gently lift the steps back into their proper position—without demolition or disruption to the surrounding area.   In just a single afternoon, the front entrance was brought back to a safe, level, and stable condition. The trip hazard was eliminated, the steps were realigned, and the homeowner once again has a clean and welcoming entryway.

These homeowners had very dangerous trip hazards around their home and were concerned about the safety of their family and friends.  Their stairs had sunk and there was a gap between the concrete slabs right in front of their home which was a major concern. Once the plan was in place, Installation Foreman, Bill McKeown, and his production team went to the home to execute the job. They injected PolyLevel® underneath the stairs and concrete slabs in order to lift and level them.  When the work was completed and all hazards were removed, the homeowners were relieved to have a safe place for their family and friends. 

In Wellesley, Ontario, this home had a garage and side entrance sink alarmingly. The garage made it challenging for cars to come and go, and the side entrance made it a tripping hazard, especially in the dark hours of the day. The homeowners reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling to level things out; no pun intended. They were thrilled to hear that the process can be completed within the same day, it will be non-invasive, and the concrete can be used right away after our PolyLevel® is in place. Our Installation Specialist arrived to start the leveling. He set up, lifted the concrete, and cleaned it up in under fifteen minutes which is outstanding versus mud jacking; you would have to wait until everything underneath is dry. Our high-density polyurethane cures immediately when applied so our clients can use their concrete spaces right after leaving. In little to no time, the garage and side entryway were hazard-free!      

Garages are meant to be easy to drive in and out of them. Unfortunately, this home in Waterloo, Ontario, gave the homeowners a run for their money! The garage threshold had a lip since the driveway had started sinking. The lip creates three problems: a tripping hazard when walking in and out, trouble driving in, and pooling/ice forming depending on the weather. The homeowners wanted to fix this problem without pouring more material, compromising the look of the driveway, and they wanted to save the most money possible. They did some research and noticed that they could contact Canadian Concrete Leveling and fix their concrete without compromising the existing driveway.    After the homeowners scheduled an appointment for one of our Project Managers, Andy Moncrieff provided a thorough and honest quote. Our installation team was able to start on the job on a later day. Our installation team, Kyle McKeown and JP Basto, arrived on the scene to lift this driveway back to normal. They use our highly dense polyurethane, which we refer to as our PolyLevel® system, to permanently raise the concrete as quickly and effectively as possible. Depending on the job, it can take five minutes to one hour to complete. Thankfully the job was minuscule and took about 15 minutes to set up, do the work and clean up. The invasion of the driveway is at an all-time low since the injection holes are about the size of a dime. The homeowners were very impressed that they could use the driveway immediately since the curing time is minimal, and the hazards are gone for good! No worries anymore about getting in the garage!
