Canadian Concrete Leveling Job Stories

Out of Water Experience
Pools are a hassle during the setup process. Uncovering the pool, cleaning it out, and ensuring the chemicals are balanced, the surrounding pool deck is ready to rumble. Everything checked off with this pool in Kitchener, Ontario, except the surrounding pool deck. The deck consisted of more giant concrete slabs, similar to a side walkway, and over time the slabs shifted outward, leaving a separation between the deck and the pool and various tripping hazards.    The separation between the pool deck and the actual pool can result in foundation cracking in the pool from the elements. To prevent that from happening and to put the tripping to a halt, the homeowners contacted Canadian Concrete Leveling. The great thing about our work is that we don't replace your already existing, good condition concrete; we lift it with our high-density polyurethane. After the initial call from the homeowners, we scheduled a day for our Project Manager, Andy Moncrieff, to provide an honest quote. Then on a later day, we have our installation team, JP and Kyle, come to the home and start with the polyurethane injections. Our injection holes are dime-sized and are sealed off with our anti-cracking, waterproof, and chemical resistant sealant. The process took under 30 minutes to set up, do the work, to clean up. The owners were impressed and didn't have to worry about water coming anywhere outside the pool.
Sloping Garage Slab, Whitestone, ON
A home in Whitestone, Ontario had a garage slab that had settled over time. This caused the slab to slope to one side of garage.-This garage was not old so both the builder and the owner wanted it fixed so that it wouldn't worsen over time.    They called Canadian Concrete Leveling and talked to Rob Malcomson about exactly what would need to be done. Bill Mckeown and the team came in and used PolyLevel injections to life and stabilize the slab. The PolyLevel foam is injected under the slab and fills the voids that are causing the slab to sink. They then used NexusPro sealant against the wall and the floor to block any water leakage. Th slab is now in the original position and is warrantied for 10 years. Both the builder and the customer are very happy.
Sinking Concrete Worries Customers their Rubber Layover Would be Ruined
Our Brampton customers had just invested in rubber layover for their back patio to make the concrete more comfortable to walk on. Unfortunately, soon after it was laid down, they discovered the concrete was sinking and needed to be repaired. They were worried that the rubber layover would need to be removed, and they wasted their money. C CL assured them we could save it. Sure enough, the team used our patented product called PolyLevel®, which is a polyurethane material injected through small, dime-sized holes under the concrete. Once installed, the substance expands and lifts the concrete by filling the gap between the concrete and settled soil. The untouched rubber layover and lifted concrete left our customers relieved we could fix their problem without interfering with their other investments.
On Route Sinking, Innisfil, Ontario
You’re on a road trip and you notice you need to take a break, get some snacks, pump gas, and relax. You pull into the next OnRoute and on the drive in, you hit a severe bump that almost pops your tire. Without thinking twice, you get out of the car and make your way inside. When you’re about to step in, you trip over the same concrete slab that your car just hit on the way in. Injured and annoyed you wonder why this OnRoute isn’t fixing this hazard. In Innisfil, Ontario, this pit stop had this exact problem. The 4-foot concrete slab leading into the shop had started sinking leaving the joint connecting the two much larger than normal, inviting tripping and driving hazards. With a quick call away, the OnRoute Property Managers found Canadian Concrete Leveling to level out the problematic slab. Once the call was made, we were able to send our Paul Mendell, our experienced Project Manager, to the OnRoute and take a closer look. With the description of the job prior, Paul knew what kind of work needed to be done, he just needed to crunch the numbers, see how long it will take and how long it takes. Once the quote was completed, our installation crew came on a later day. Our experienced gentlemen, Kyle Mckeown, Installation Supervisor, and JP Basto, our Installation Specialist, arrived on the site later that week. They were assigned to use our polyurethane injections into the concrete slab then sealed off with fresh concrete. The sealing part is hardly noticeable since the holes for the poly are the size of a dime. Polyurethane is the ideal method to lift and level your concrete. It is quick, durable, lightweight, cost effective, and non-invasive. Other methods can be too heavy, causing the soil underneath to shift more, can be too invasive and ruin the concrete, costly, and very time consuming. This way, a lightweight solution like polyurethane, can fix wonders. The OnRoute from JP and Kyle took under an hour to set up, work, and cleanup. You can now travel to your nearest stop and not have to worry.
Concrete Driveway Needs Help! Listowel, ON
This concrete driveway needs help since it is causing the homeowners many problems. This home in Listowel had a driveway that settled to the point of revealing tri[pign hazards ds and foundation integrity loss. The homeowners were worried that people would hurt themselves when walking up and down the driveway and that the home;'s foundation would be eaten away by the wet weather. The homeowners needed to level out the concrete before its too late. Researching companies was easy because they found Canadian Concrete Leveling to do the work they were looking for. Our Project Manager, Andy Moncrieff, arrived at that home to quote our new clients and see how we can level their concrete permanently, effectively, and within their budget. The homeowners were quite impressed with the installation process and our professionalism. On a later date, we had our installation team, Kyle and JP, arrive to begin our leveling process. They were very particular about what goes where and how to install everything and were very courteous with the time they were at home. Our process took under an hour to complete from start to clean up, and the concrete was levelled almost immediately. Our curing time is minimal, and the owners can use the driveway shortly after. This driveway is now levelled permanently.
Filled Void in Garage in King City, ON
Homeowners Jennifer and Mike live in a beautiful home in King City with a double car garage. One day they noticed a small void beneath the right side entrance area of the garage under the concrete. As time went by the void got larger and larger. Mike and Jennifer spoke to each other about some possible solutions, then decided to call a few companies to get their opinions of what to do.  They came across Clarke Basement Systems and Canadian Concrete Leveling who suggested an affordable, fast way to fix the hole underneath the side of the garage and also the unleveled garage floors they have. The installer, Billy at Clarke Basement Systems used PolyLevel and injected it on the centre grid pattern and also filled the void beneath the garage. The homeowners were very happy and felt safe again in their home.
For the Love of Boats
This customer wanted to bring his old boathouse back to its former glory and logically the first step is to ensure the concrete foundation is strong level, and true. The customer also wanted to sleep easy knowing their boat, their baby was sleeping safe and sound just a couple feet from their door. Project Manager Paul Mandell quickly got to work and designed a custom solution that will withstand the test of time. In a timely and professional manner, the installation team got to work repairing the concrete and sealed it, making it appear brand new. With the concrete foundation under the boathouse repaired the customer could continue their renovation with peace of mind. All they need to think about now is how beautiful it is going to look when the renovation is completed.
Home Sweet... Oh No
In Guelph, Ontario, a stunning walkway was compromised by shifting, trip-hazardous concrete. As a result, when having guests of all ages over, many would fall leading up to the house. The homeowners became very anxious that someone would get severely hurt. In order to entertain again and prevent injury, the walkway had to get levelled out. It was time to make a call and take a step in the right direction, literally.    Andy Moncrieff visited the home to give the homeowners a look at what would be done to fix the walkway. The homeowners finally felt much more at ease knowing they would have a safe entry point to their home.    Installation Specialist Kyle McKeown lifted the walkway slabs permanently using our high-density polyurethane filling any voids underneath. The process only took just under fifteen minutes and did not disrupt the foot traffic of the home. After completing the work, the clients were thrilled to see the concrete level again.
Front Concerte Landing Needs leveling Love, Hamilton, Ontario
Front landings are meant to be flat and safe. A home in Hamilton, Ontario, had a concrete pad at the bottom of the front steps that was slopping forward to the front lawn. Beside the pad was the driveway that has its own set of concrete slabs. With the one pad sloping more than the driveway, the separation between the two developed a tripping hazard. Not only is the tripping hazard afoot but in the wet and colder months, slipping was an issue too!    The homeowners were undergoing renovations inside the home and wanted to budget this fix accordingly. By saving the concrete slabs and permanently lifting them, Canadian Concrete Leveling fits that criteria. After the initial call was made, our Project Manager, Matt Ruskin, arrived at the site to provide an estimate. Then later that week, our Installation Supervisor, Kyle McKeown, started the project of lifting the slab to its original position.    Our lifting process is done with our highly dense polyurethane, known as PolyLevel®. The beauty of polyurethane verse other methods is the durability, quick expansion, and lightweight material it is. The job took just under half an hour and did not interrupt the foot traffic of the renovations happening in the home. The owners are much calmer knowing they don't have to take the staircase in fear of hurting themselves.
Leveling Driveway and Sinking Porch, Hamilton, Ontario
Hamilton, Ontario, has a lot of older homes where concrete has settled. In many circumstances, the concrete that tends to sink/shift first is the driveway, walkways, then the porch. This house had all three going for it, and the homeowners wanted to fix it before it became a severe hazard when navigating in and out of the home—starting with the home's driveway. The driveway had shifted from soil settlement, causing it to sink at specific points, revealing tripping hazards. Moving on to the front porch. The porch started following the same pattern as the driveway and started falling to expose the foundation and make the step into the home much larger. Since the owners were elderly, any obstacle stopping them from getting in and out of the house made it ten times more difficult for them to get around.    They needed to fix this as soon as possible, so worry about hurting themselves is left at bay. A friend recommended a company that could level the concrete within the same day without ripping up the existing concrete; that company was Canadian Concrete Leveling. Our Project Manager, Matt Ruskin, set the homeowners at ease with a detailed quote and honest pricing. Later that week, our Installation Specialist, Bill McKeown, came to the home to inject the concrete slabs with our polyurethane. Once the injections were made, the concrete immediately lifted back to its original position. The homeowners were amazed by the same-day process and couldn't thank Bill and Matt enough for their treatment.
